Leonardo DiCaprio is no stranger to headlines: most recently, he turned up at Paris Fashion Week with his new model girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti. But it wasn’t just his latest fling that caught everyone’s attention. According to News Australia, he arrived in the French capital at a time when not just one, but nine of his previous flames including Gigi Hadid, Camila Morrone and Helena Christensen were also in the region.

Beyond his love life, the Hollywood actor has also been in the papers for his links to the new Beckham docuseries on Netflix, which released earlier this week.

Surely being in the limelight this much requires a chic wardrobe. And although he doesn’t seem to be a watch man, he prompts plenty of hype every time he flaunts one. Here’s a look at the A-list actor’s watch collection.

DiCaprio was one of the first few collectors who sported the rare Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 back in early 2022 at a basketball game, according to Wrist Enthusiast.

The Nautilus 5711 was discontinued in 2021. But a few months later, 170 limited pieces of the model featuring Tiffany & Co.’s iconic robin’s egg blue hue were released to celebrate 170 years of partnership between the two giants.

The 40mm timepiece has both logos on the dial: Patek Philippe sits at 12 o’clock and Tiffany & Co. is seen at 6 o’clock. It has all of the signature Nautilus design details, like the Gérald Genta-designed case, horizontal relief embossing on the dial, and luminous baton hands and hour markers.

Powered by the precise self-winding calibre 26-330 S C, the watch also features a caseback inscribed with “170th Anniversary 1851-2021 Tiffany & Co. – Patek Philippe.”

One piece was sold for a record price of US$6.5 million at a Phillips auction in New York at the same time it was released, which was more than 120 times its retail price, as per Jonathan’s Fine Jewelers.

2. Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

Back in the 1990s, the Titanic star chose to wear a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, per Insane Luxury Life, a watch page on Instagram.

His Cosmograph Daytona “Zenith” 16520 is powered by the famous automatic movement Zenith El Primero 400 calibre, known as the best automatic chronograph movement at the time, states the source.

The stainless steel case features a 40mm black “Patrizzi dial”, one of the rarest and most expensive variations where the counters have oxidised and turned brown. Additionally, its bezel can measure speeds of up to 400 units per hour, per Fratello Watches. Its price on the second-hand market can reach around US$55,000, per Chrono24.

After becoming a global ambassador for Tag Heuer in 2009, DiCaprio pushed their partnership to the next level one year later when his hit Inception was released. A new watch named after him was reportedly introduced in a limited run of 1,600 pieces. The star designed it to raise money in support of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Green Cross International, per Reis Nichols Jewelers.

It is known as a diving watch for having a water resistance of up to 500 metres. The striking blue dial is adorned with luminous hands and hour markers. It is crafted in a finely brushed steel case with polished edges and there are two options for the bracelet: either elegant stainless steel or matching blue rubber, as per Luxois.

DiCaprio also trusts Tag Heuer for important events and the vintage model 1887 seems to be his favourite one. He wore a white dial version at the UK premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street and a black one at the British Academy Film Awards ceremony in London back in 2014.

The 43mm watch features a steel case and applied gold-tone hands, Arabic numerals, the Tag Heuer logo and two chronograph subdials for measuring time intervals on its dial. It is operated by a calibre 1887 automatic movement with a water resistance of up to 100 metres. The discontinued model’s listed price was US$5,400, states Tag Heuer’s official website.
